Privacy policy

This policy explains what data we collect on chefup.pl, why and on what basis, and which cookies we use. It follows the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).

1. Data controller

The controller of your data is Maciej Szcześnik, running a sole proprietorship under the name Chef Up Maciej Szcześnik, ul. Henryka Sienkiewicza 39, 07-202 Wyszków, Poland, NIP: 7622027975, REGON: 543939030. Contact: kontakt@chefup.pl.

2. What data we collect

• Contact form data — name, email, phone, message content.
• Recruitment form data — described separately in the candidate notice.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, information collected automatically by cookies (see section 5).

3. Why and on what basis

• Replying to your enquiry — based on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or to enter into a contract if the conversation leads there (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Analytics and advertising — based on your consent given in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Defending against claims — to the necessary extent, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. How long we keep data

• Correspondence — for as long as needed to handle the matter, then until any claims become time-barred.
• Analytics and advertising cookie data — for the periods in section 5 or until you withdraw consent.

5. Cookies and third-party tools

We use cookies — small files stored in your browser. They fall into:

• Essential — needed for the site to work (e.g. remembering your cookie choice). No consent required.
• Analytics and advertising — fired only after your consent in the banner. May include Google tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads — including conversion tracking and remarketing) and advertising pixels (e.g. Meta). They help us measure traffic and ad performance.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time — clear cookies in your browser or write to us. Until you consent, analytics and advertising tools stay off (we use Google Consent Mode).

Some of these tools belong to providers outside the European Economic Area (e.g. Google, Meta). Any data transfer then relies on safeguards required by the GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell data. It may be accessed by entities processing it on our behalf: hosting and email provider, form-handling tool, analytics and advertising providers. Each acts under a contract and only to the necessary extent.

7. Your rights

You have the right to: access and a copy of your data, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time.
